Photo Mural Workshop
PHOTO MURAL WORKSHOP
Click on picture above to see a larger version (please note that for the purposes of this example no children's images have been used).
Photo Mural uses a similar principle to producing a painted or mosaic mural in your school except that instead of painting or drawing the children take photographs.
We have found that children are naturally good photographers and produce some amazing images.
How the project works.
- Part One – We spend between 1 and 5 days working in 8 groups of around 4 children sharing a camera. We talk to them about how to take great photographs and what sort of thing they should be photograph. We also encourage them to be creative in what and how they take photographs. We will show them plenty of examples to help them.
- Part Two – We take the images away and edit them down to the number we need. For an 8’ x 4’ display board we will need around 400 6” x 4” prints. We can fine tune how many boards etc when we know what you require. You will be given a CD of all the images your children produce which could be many hundreds.
- Part Three – We bring the prints back in a work with the children to place the pictures on the board so that not only have they produced the images but they are creating the final large scale image.
- We mount the board where you want it displayed.
The project can be very flexible and designed to fit around your budget and needs.
Whatever the size of your project you will have something that is very special and quite unique.
